this weekend was a weekend of tough games frizzle (that’s ‘for real’ for all you crackers out there).
NEway, frid night was a tough one, we (Park of Cottage Grove HS) lost to Hastings whose ranked 8 or 10 in the metro (iow, a good team), 29-36. the kids played exceptionally well and hastings just had a bit more in the 4th quarter.
then saturday, listening to the gophers game on the radio as they played michigan and lost that game in the fourth quarter after a well-played game
then i had my own game on saturday night. we played for the chance to go to the league championship game. we lost 27-34. another hard-fought game that went down to the wire… twas close.
good games, hard games. God, i love this game.
