back to ballin…

game 5 over and done with and it was a fairly successful game. we won 41-0. against a team who drove from michigan (bout 8 hrs) and only had 15 guys, that’s not all that good. we put up 34 pts in the first half and only scored once more in the entire second half. the second half was pretty sad. it rained right before the game and the field was sloppy and wet and fun! we got a lil muddy but that’s ok, cuz it’s football. i personally, did alright – had a poor showing on the yds per carry. 12 carries for 60 yds – but i got in the endzone 4 times, tying the team record for TDs in a game. our defense played exceptionally well and we got the ball back with little field to work with most of the time. running clock in the second half, helpd lessen the blow taken to the no. mich team. i will give them credit, however. they battled. and as outmanned as they were, they kept playin. next week we have a bye, so no game (i’ll have to find somethin else to write about) but the week after that (the 12th) we’re playin in minneapolis @ augsburg college.

when this season is over, i am going to continue playing for another semi-pro team in the cities here, the minnesota maulers. they had a mini-camp this weekend and i attended the first part of it saturday morning, but sunday i missed the second day. i’m not sure what their RB situation is right now, i’ve heard they have a couple veteran guys and i’ve heard their running game has been weak in previous years. i do know that last year, they went all the way to the national championship game. they didn’t win, and i havn’t asked what all happened. but this is the next step in getting ready to venture over to europe next spring/summer. should be fun times.
