Fawn-Doe-Rosa & Interstate State Park

We took a family outting trip to Fawn-Doe-Rosa in St. Croix Falls, WI. If you’ve never been to or heard of a petting zoo, you might be confused. FDR is a pretty nifty place and Joseph absolutely LOVED it. He turned 14 months old yesterday and once he realized there was more to the place than a couple rocks in the road, he really got a kick out of feeding the sheep and goats. after walking by all the sleeping caged animals (mountain lions, badger, timberwolf, etc. – i guess our timing was a little off to see those guys active). we got to the whitetail deer portion which had 3 stunning bucks. check out the photos of Katie feeding a couple of those deer with the amazing racks (i wouldn’t mind catching one of these in the woods in November)!

Children’s Science Museum

Today we went to the Children’s Science Museum in St. Paul, MN. We will definitely be going back (i signed us up for the Passport Membership, so it’s ‘free’ for us for 12 months – all it will take is 3 trips to make up the cost). Plus, Joseph had a blast! I tell you one thing, we won’t be bringing the stroller next time – he didn’t spend more than 5 minutes in that thing. check out the photo set below for just some of the excitement we had today!
