today was not a good day. walked in and my hips just ached – not sure what the deal is, but it just started this morning. it’s not like i did anything since wed and i wasn’t even that sore. very disappointing. last time i did the CFFT (3.12.10), i was able to total 1560 – drastically better results in squat and deadlift. of course, i didn’t push it too much today because of the hip just not feeling right. need to visit the chiropractor soon.

Insanity – Day 57: Max Interval Plyo

it was early, dark and i wasn’t completely awake when i got to the fitness center this morning… and before i realized it, i was in the middle of the warmup (and sweating). i did not get new shoes this weekend, so again, my feet were killing me. but this is the last week of the program. i missed too many days last week and had thought about filling in another week with days that i missed, but next week is the beginning of the HS football season and i will be back in the weightroom, where i’ll be able to lift some weights. i’m very excited about that. it will be interesting to see where my strength lies after doing this program – early this spring, i was able to bench 365 with ease and attempted 405, but didn’t quite get that locked out. but i don’t think i’d been doing insanity at all or if i was, it was just beginning. i’m more looking forward to getting some power clean work in as that is by far my favorite lift in the weightroom!

Insanity – Day 54: Max Interval Circuit

missed yesterday, no excuse, just didn’t get up. but today, i did get up and got the workout in. Max Interval Circuit… it’s a killer. the sweat started dripping during the ‘warm up’, started pouring soon after the first interval started and didn’t stop until i was in the car on the way back home to shower up.

i could’ve pushed it a little harder today, except my feet and lower legs were killing me. i had to stop multiple times and just stretch out my Achilles and try to move my feet around. i really need to look into some new shoes.
