i FINALLY get to X Stretch! i should’ve been doing this all along and for quite a while, but i’ve always just ‘rested’ on my rest/X-stretch days. this is what recovery week is supposed to be like not the yoga and core synergistic stuff
it’s still a good change of pace… until next week, dun dun duuuuuuuhn! i did enjoy this ‘workout’ today, it was just what the doctor ordered. very good stretches and i do believe i felt some flexibility increases – although my bow and shoulder stands/plow are still pretty pathetic. baby steps, right?
in case you were wondering, i have been keeping up on the workouts – just not the blog posts. i don’t want to bore my visitor when i really have nothing to post outside of ‘this workout was hell’ or maybe i should??

does anyone else find it ironic that ‘recovery week’ starts off with the @$$-kicking Yoga workout?! well, i did a much better job of gittin’ er dun today than last time the yoga was in the mix, even after a lower body killer in legs & back followed by the Kenpo X on Saturday. another sweat inducing, DNA removal workout and boy did it feel good. tomorrow a new workout that i’ve never done before, so i don’t know if i should be scared, worried or terrified… i’ll probably go with ‘D – all of the above’ as it has ‘core’ in the title!

i continue to make progress – the number of pull ups are increasing and the lunges were a little better today. towards the end of the video, i was pretty spent and had to pause it for a little bit to catch my breath and mentally prepare for the last few exercises. feels good to be completely wiped out at the end of the workout. i’m not running into the muscle soreness like i was the first week, so that’s good. tomorrow Kenpo X – no Warrior Dash, so i’ll get that workout in
i still need to focus more on my diet – i keep going back and forth on attempting a Paleo diet. what i’m ultimately looking to find is a Paleo diet on a budget, both cost and time as fresh veggies, fruits & meats aren’t cheap or easy to prepare. any suggestions or a place for me to focus my search?
